An outstanding article by Lauren Gard of East Bay Express (http://www.eastbayexpress.com/Issues/2006-12-06/news/feature_1.html).

Frank Cordelle has spent the last 25 years pursuing a mission.

It all started when he was photographing disabled athletes to accompany newspaper articles. When one man told him that the pictures made him see the handicapped as real people, Cordelle knew that he had the power to reach people and knew what it was that he wanted to do with it.

The Century Project is a photographic look at women, photographed in the nude. They include the crowning head of a girl being born, women in the prime of their lives, girls battling eating disorders and hatred for their bodies, women who have undergone mastectomies, artists, mothers, grandmothers, octegenarians, and everything in between.

Cordelle's intent is to give testimony to the concept that women come in a range of shapes, sizes, and colors, and also that the female form isn't smutty or dirty, nor does being nude equal being lewd.

The book Bodies and Souls was released just last month and is available directly from the publisher as well as through Amazon or ordered from your favorite bookstore. The publisher is Heureka Productions (http://www.heureka.ca/), a Canadian publisher catering to the naturist crowd. Bodies and Souls is their fourth publication.
