  • Spiderman, the Musical

Oh yeah, here's the link: Linky Linky

I suppose the only good thing is that Bono is helping write the soundtrack.

    My only other response?

    *facepalm* Oy.

No kidding, read that about a week? ago or so and thought the same thing.... I guess if they figure Lion King and other sucesessful movies can become plays, why not Spiderman? Uhm... Not that I'm saying thats right, or anything...

That's the problem with overpopularity. You get people with hair brained ideas who assume that because it has a popular name it'll sell. I'm not saying without seeing it that it's going to be a bad musical. . .it just seems like it's a bit much.

<shrug> People have some crazy ideas, eh?

You know, as much as this scares me, I am not surprised.

Heck, if they did a Gilligan's Island Musical...

          then nothing is safe.

I can see the opening song...

              "I was bitten!
              I was bitten!
              Oh the agony, the pain

I was bitten by a spider
              what a shame,
              what a shame

Now I shall cry all night
              and when I wake
              I'll have new might

              or am I dreaming
              am I crazy?
              I killed my uncle!
              oi vey"

(I was on a roll, there was no stopping.)

Why not! They've done Superman the Musical, and Captain America the Musical.
